Polly Kokinos, MD,RPVI

Dr. Polly Kokinos was born in New York City and stayed there until she graduated medical school . She moved to San Francisco to train at world famous UCSF in general surgery. During her residency, she returned to New York to train in molecular carcinogenesis research and published several articles on breast and thyroid cancer pathogenesis.
During her last year in San Francisco, a nurse from the hospital introduced her to a high school friend at a Greek Church Festival. She was married to Michael Kokinos the following year. She spent that year working at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in San Francisco as a Clinical Instructor and Attending Surgeon for UCSF. They then moved to Saint Louis to pursue a nationally acclaimed vascular fellowship at Washington University.
Dr. Kokinos was recruited back to San Jose to work as the sole vascular surgeon for a large medical group. After the birth of her daughters she went into private practice and completed further training in endovascular treatments of arterial and venous disease, including the use of stents grafts for aneurysms,balloons and stents for arterial blockages, and endovenous radiofrequency to treat superficial venous disease. Dr. Kokinos joined the staff at Kaiser Santa Clara in 2000 as an attending vascular surgeon and Clinical Instructor at Stanford University. She is involved in teaching surgical residents from Stanford both at conferences and in the operating room. She has been vital in the development of the vascular surgery division there as one of Kaiser’s most highly regarded in Northern California.
Dr. Kokinos is dedicated to excellence in the care of patients with arterial and venous problems. Debbie Hoover, RVT RDMS

Debbie Hoover has been a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) since 1992 and a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) since 1996. Her professional experience includes holding the clinical instructor position for the Vascular US program from 1990-1996: General and Vascular Ultrasound at UC San Diego; Technical Director at Good Samaritan Hospital for 13 years where she assisted them in obtaining the prestigious Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) Accreditation in 5 specialties (Cerebrovascular, Peripheral Venous, Arterial, Visceral and Transcranial).
Currently Technical Director for Vascular Associates of Northern California (AC accredited in 4 specialties) and has been since 2009, as well as the Institute for Vascular Testing since 4/2012, which she is overseeing its current accreditation process as well.
